Plain Language/Healthcare Emergency Codes at Cooper University Health Care There are 3 Overarching ALERT TYPES: MEDICAL ALERT (Medically Related Response Needed) FACILITY ALERT (Infrastructure Related Response Needed) SECURITY ALERT (Security Related Response Needed) Each ALERT is Broken Down into 4 Sections: Alert Type (Medical, Facility or Security) Event (Identifies the type of emergency.
